3rd race – (4) Lucky Law has been putting in a string of bullet works for his debut and seems ready for a strong effort. (5) Shaftesbury has the kind of pedigree that will make him a threat here. (3) Rockstar Ro will appreciate a return to turf. (2) Mutaraafeq is another first from Pletcher who merits attention. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-4-5.

5th race - (5) Topo Grigio returns from a layoff on turf and should be well suited by the conditions. (3) Centsless Drama set the pace and settled for second last time. Looks like the one to catch here. (4) Spin Your Partner comes off a game maiden win and can wind up in the winner’s circle. (8) My Lips Are Sealed returned from a layoff with an improved, winning effort and merits a good look here. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-5-8. Doubles: 3-4-5-8 with 3-5-8-12.

6th race – (3) Digital Footprint debuts for Maker and returns to turf. Deserves top billing here. (5) One Eyed Jack should wake up at this level. (8) Shining Through has late speed and might work out a good trip. (12) Bee Catcher might fly off with a share of the purse despite the outside post. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-5-8-12.

8th race – (2) Omnia moves back to turf after a big win on dirt but has raced well enough on grass to handle these. (7) Little Bit Good just missed by a nose and will be the one to fear. (9) Skye Snow drops off the Cox claim and should not be ignored. (8) Charlotte the Brit clipped heels and fell last time. Gets a do-over here. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-7-8-9.

10th race – (2) The Virginian was second throughout last time and should take a step forward here. (5) Station Rock ships in from Canada and should be a main factor on turf. (7) Kyle gets back on turf and will be a presence in this field. (8) Nicholas Rose won in his turf debut and could have a say in the outcome. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-7-8.
