1st race – (6) Sonic Kitten debuts for Joseph and seems ready for a big effort in his career debut. (8) Cadet Corps should be more competitive at this level. (2) Bluto’s Candy could turn in a sweet effort here. (4) Fishing for Fun was a good third last time and is worth a look here. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-6-8.

3rd race – (2) Mr Mac Quhae (C) dropped from 8-5 to 6-5 and was a distant second. Should pick up a win here. (6) Willy the Shoe seems to fit in nicely here. (7) On His Toes was third on turf in his debut and merits a look. (5) Cupid’s Ghost should welcome a return to synthetics. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-6-7.

5th race – (6) Star Sign tired in a Claiming Crown stakes but should bounce back in a claimer. (4) With Verve should fare better with a switch to Saez. (5) Self Taught figures to be a threat in the stretch. (2) Septemberten can perk up against claimers. Betting strategy:  6 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5-6.

8th race – (5) Reservenotattained was second in his last two starts and should notch a victory at this level. (4) All Around drops below the price he was claimed for and should be the main rival. (2) Paladio has been facing better and merits attention. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5.

10th race – (4) Mongolian Mission ships in off a win at Santa Anita and finds a spot where she can thrive. (8) Meet the Beauty has a nice turn of speed and could be hard to catch. (2) Systematic has been away but seems ready for a good comeback try. (1) Madeira Wine might be more potent on turf. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4-8.
