1st race – (8) Seize the Hay (B) broke slowly from a tough post and then rallied for second. Should make amends for that setback here. (7) Unpopular Opinion takes a big enough class drop to be a factor here. (9) Glacier Park should be helped by more ground. (5) Bellamy’s Treasure might thrive on grass. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 5-7-8-9.

6th race - (2) Hoponthebusgus was claimed out of a win by Maker and should make it two in row here. (5) La Incondicional rallied to win at this level last time and looks like the one to fear. (10) A Beautiful Day was a good third at this level and should be a factor here as well. (3) Feature Creature was a neck behind the top pick and will be a main contender. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-5-10.

8th race – (7) Princesa Caroline returns off a four-month layoff for Chad and looks best in this spot. (5) Mimina’s Team gets Paco for this trip and seems ready for a nice effort off a layoff. (12) More Than Unusual was a good second in her first try against winners and cannot be ignored despite the post. (11) Setting the Mood has the kind of speed that makes her threat in this spot. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 5-7-11-12.

10th race – (2) Mo Ready fizzled in a stakes last time but can bounce back with a big effort here. (3) Apreciado will be a major threat here for a claiming tag. (11) Gauguin could wake up in this spot. (4) Sassy But Smart fits well here. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-4-11. Doubles: 2-3-4-11 with 3-5-6-9.

11th race – (5) Rocket Joe Copper (C) was bet down from 2-1 to 3-2 and scored a nice victory at this level. Should make it two in a row in this spot. (6) Belgrano didn’t fire in a claiming stakes but may rebound while stretching out. (3) Imperial Mission debuts for Maker and deserves attention. (9) Till the End will be a serious threat in the stretch. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-5-6-9.
