1st race – (4) Market Development debuts for Ward and seems better than anyone else in this field. (3) Twirling Fire has some speed and may hang on at this level. (10) Compiler takes a big class drop for Ward and might contend against these. (5) Big Red Style should find the going much easier in a claimer. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-5-10.

3rd race - (8) Antigone ran third in a race washed off the turf and might move forward here on grass. (3) Zandrea’s was hurt by a wide trip last time and should be closer here. (2) Josefa was second against similar company and rates a look here. (5) Galileos Ballerina could fit in nicely here. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-5-8.

7th race – (6) Cark was second in his last two tries and should prevail after a brief rest. (1) Shining Through has a nice late kick that will be aided by a rail trip. (5) Light Fury will be happy to be back on turf. (7) Can’t Have Enough might improve on turf. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-5-6-7.

9th race – (8) Myamanoi has been freshened since September and is working in a manner that indicates he’s ready for a big try here. (1) Flowmotion is back running with a claiming tag and will be the one to fear from the rail. (4) Joltin Joe rallied for second in a stakes and will be a major player here. (5) Rhythmia has a nice turn of late speed and should be a factor in the final furlong. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-5-8. Doubles: 1-4-5-8 with 4-7-8-12.

10th race – (7) Time for Trouble was checked at the start last time and still rallied for fourth. Can handle these with a smooth journey. (4) Souper Jaguar can control the early pace and might be hard to catch. (12) Lets Play Hardball won easily in an off the turfer but faces a rough trip from the outside post. (8) Spinning Kitten comes off a game victory and will be tough if he can muster a similar try. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-7-8-12.
