1st race – (4) Berhanu makes his first start for Joseph and may perk up in a turf claiming sprint. (2) Spend Benjamins also tries claimers for the first time and should turn in a better effort. (1) Under the Couvers should be a contender from the rail. (6) Lord of War could be a factor in his debut. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4-6.

3rd race - (6) Black Magic Woman moves over to turf and has the kind of breeding that bodes well for her chances of a frontrunning win. (1) L’Indiscret missed by a neck last time and should be a main contender from the rail. (3) Summer Returns should appreciate today’s longer distance. (7) Take Charge Ro turned in a big effort after a layoff and will be a force if she can duplicate that try. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-6-7. Doubles: 1-3-6-7 with

4th race – (4) Toastnjam was second in her last two starts and seems poised for a maiden win. (6) Madame Rouge returns to the main track and should rebound with a good effort. (7) Florado has some speed and might hang on if the track is dry. (1) Awesome Annemarie may fare better here on dirt than turf. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-6. Exactas: 4-6 over 1-7 and 1-7 over 4-6.

6th race – (3) Teachable Moment returns to turf for Maker and takes a big enough class drop to earn top billing here. (12) Seize the Hay should be competitive at this level if he can overcome a rough post. (2) Big Perm has raced on turf twice and those efforts were good enough to make him a major contender here. (8) Jealous Eyes has been facing much tougher and should be competitive here. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-8-12.

8th race – (9) Bean Counter disappointed in his last start but seems capable of bouncing back with a strong effort today. (10) Sea of Blue has been freshened and could be tough to catch on the front end. (7) All Come True makes her U.S. debut and merits attention. (8) Centsless Drama also has keen early speed and could take home a chunk of purse money. Betting strategy: 9 to win, place. Exacta box: 7-8-9-10.
