3rd race – (1) Souper Fortune was hard to handle against better company but should prevail at this level. (8) Law of the Land tries synthetics for the first time but raced well enough on turf to be a factor. (6) Al Hilal rallied belatedly last time and might work out a better trip here. (3) Exponential could improve off the Walder claim . Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-6-8.

5th race – (5) Defensible was supposed to debut on turf but wound up flopping on dirt. Might wake up here on synthetics. (7) Father Glado lost only by 1 1/2 lengths despite a rough trip. Can be closer today. (1) Men on the Hill missed by a neck over this track and cannot be ignored. (4) Grand David fits in well here. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-5-7. Doubles: 1-4-5-7 with 3-5-6.

6th race – (5) Spectacular Gal won by 10 in her first try on synthetics and can make it two in row here. (3) Brittiz was third in a stakes over the surface and is the one to fear. (6) She Nasty seeks a fourth straight win and will be a force here. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-5-6.

8th race – (5) Pegs A.K. Girl showed some promise on turf and may take to synthetics. (3) Ice Cold Gold has some speed and could be tough to catch. (10) Queen Macha was second in both of her starts and belongs in the exotics. (8) Running Legacy is a firster who seems to have some potential. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-5-8-10. Doubles: 3-5-8-10 with 3-4-6-8.

9th race – (8) Divine Leader (B) won three of his last four starts and is bred to fare equally well on turf. (3) Mamba On Three usually brings home a check and should be a main threat. (6) Thinkaboutit may welcome a return to turf. (4) Zanno will be dangerous at this level. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-6-8.
