2nd race – (7) Sadio rallied for second at this level and should work out a winning trip here. (3) Jacohare takes a big-time class drop and should be more competitive here. (4) Oxfire didn’t fire against tougher but fits better against this group. (8) City Glory might blossom on turf. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-7-8. Doubles: 3-4-7-8 with 2-4-7-8.

3rd race – (8) Shaftesbury (A) was a game second last time and should work out a winning trip here. (7) Straight Up Guy closed fast for third against claimers and will be a main threat here. (4) First Task was a $725,000 purchase who was awful on dirt but could make a big turnaround here. (2) Welshman is an interesting first-time starter from Tagg. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-7-8.

7th race – (7) Tropicat was victorious at this level and can make it two in a row here. (2) Long Blade drops after missing by a neck and looks like the main rival. (1) Legal Deal exits stakes and should be a threat from the rail. (8) Fully Loaded is usually right there at the wire and belongs in the exotics. (10) Sovereign Warrior missed by a neck last time and can be a threat in the final furlong. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-7-8.

9th race – (7) Yafa weakened late for fourth in allowance company and looks like the one to beat in a starter race. (1) Sunny Isle Beach might appreciate the switch to turf. (2) Coworth Park exits a solid maiden win and can make her presence felt. (4) Gambling Cat gets class relief and should take a step forward. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4-7. Doubles: 1-2-4-7 with 3-4-10-12.

10th race – (10) Hardly Social (C) dropped from 5-2 to an 8-5 favorite and rallied for second in a similar spot. Seems due for a maiden win here. (12) Sweet Felicia takes off the blinkers and may perk up. (3) Union Park Gal might hang on at this lower level. (4) Not Tonight Bobby may enjoy a winning afternoon. Betting strategy: 10 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-10-12.
