1st race – (4) Morning Cocktail was second in her last two starts and is overdue for a win. (6) Evelyn flopped on dirt but may like turf. (5) Hot Anna was competitive in two dirt races and is worth a look here on a new surface. (8) Queen of Lies may benefit from her debut and a turnback to a sprint. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-5-6-8.

3rd race – (2) Kingston Queen returns to Tapeta where she won two starts back and makes her debut today for D’Angelo. (1) Ala Turka should be a stretch threat here. (7) K Cottee was a game second last time and can be in the picture once again. (4) Akemi is coming off a nice maiden win and may shine on Tapeta. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2. Exactas: 1-2 over 4-7 and 4-7 over 1-2.

5th race – (10) American Starlet (B) was an impressive debut winner and can make it two in a row here. (1) Conagher returns from a layoff but is training smartly for his return and gets Jose Ortiz. (5) Just Say When is a stablemate of the top pick who will be dangerous in this spot. (3) Classicstateofmind has been no worse than third in his last three starts and cannot be overlooked. Betting strategy: 10 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-5-10.

7th race – (6) Beth’s Dream won easily after a layoff and seems primed for another big effort. (4) Papa’s Little Girl returns to a mile distance and should be the main rival. (5) Celestial Cheetah closed nicely for second and figures to be a main factor. (2) Battle Cry is in sharp form and merits a close look. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-6. Exactas: 4-6 over 2-5 and 2-5 over 4-6.  Doubles: 2-4-5-6 with 1-2-4-5.

8th race – (5) Alpha Babe had a poor start and still rallied for third. Can make amends in this spot. (1) Katiesdreamgirl will be helped by the added distance here. (4) Systematic was caught in the final furlong last time but may hang on here. (2) Jazzy T was third or better in her last five tries and seems capable of another strong effort. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4-5.
