1st race – (2) Very Savvy gets back on turf, which seems to be her preferred surface, and should be ready for a sharp effort. (7) Never My Love might enjoy a switch to turf. (5) Romantical Note drops in class and figures to be a main threat. (4) Missing Link fits in well here. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-7. Exactas: 2-7 over 4-5 and 4-5 over 2-7.

5th race – (3) Perspective was claimed by Gargan and deserves a long look in this spot. (6) Ubiquitous could take a nice step forward in his second start. (12) Majestic Street flopped on a wet track in his debut but may rebound here. (11) Twice Too Many was a distant second in his debut and should be a factor once again. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-6-11-12. Doubles: 3-6-11-12 with 1-2-3-5.

6th race – (5) K’s Running Free rallied nicely for a maiden win and can make it two in a row here. (1) Get N Tipsy returns from a long layoff but has a trainer in Rivelli who excels in that category. (2) Glorious Gal should contend while turning back to a sprint. (3) Shikaka should be a factor in the final furlong. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-5. Exactas: 1-5 over 2-3 and 2-3 over 1-5.

8th race – (1) Gitana (C) dropped from 9-5 to 7-5 and won easily. Seems nicely spotted for another win here. (5) Bean is another starter from Rivelli who is coming off a layoff and is working smartly for his comeback. (4) Midtown Rose deserves attention off the Joseph claim. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-5. Doubles: 1-4-5 with 2-3-7-10.

9th race – (2) Amalfi Princess was a sharp maiden winner at Churchill Downs and can prove best against this group. (10) Danessa Baby might wake up with Irad in the saddle. (7) Can’t Buy Love was a game second last time and should be a major player here. (3) La Libertee was an even third last time and cannot be discounted. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-7-10.
