2nd race – (1) Rogers Ginger returns to turf after a second on Tapeta and should be able to handle this field. (7) Ghostliner makes a dirt to turf switch and should be formidable. (5) Charleston Strong could be tough to catch at this distance. (2) Polsar was a close third in his last trip on turf and should not be ignored. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-7. Exactas: 1-7 over 2-5 and 2-5 over 1-7. Doubles: 1-2-5-7 with 1-2-4.

3rd race – (4) Gloucester (A) was a highly impressive debut winner and should be able to handle winners in this spot. (3) King Cab flopped in a stakes but is working very fast for his comeback. (1) The Skipper Too may enjoy smooth sailing from the rail as long as there’s no storm. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4.

6th race – (4) Ventriloquist cuts back to a turf sprint and will be dangerous with Irad. (6) Heels Together makes her turf debut and may take a step forward. (2) Giverny is working steadily for her first race since March. Betting strategy: 4to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-6. Doubles: 2-4-6 with 1-3-4-7.

7th race – (4) Bueno Bueno was an easy winner in his lone try on turf and should like Tapeta. (3) Old Town Road is worth a look on Tapeta. (7) Living Water is another newcomer to Tapeta with a nice effort on turf to his credit. (1) Gone Nuts won on Tapeta last time and will be a main contender. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-4-7.

9th race – (1) Pardon My Heart drops in class and should be able to handle this field from the rail. (8) Katiesdreamgirl faces claimer and looks like the one to fear. (6) Jazzy T just broke her maiden and merits a look here. (2) Capstone Girl will be closing fast in the stretch. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-6-8.
