1st race – (5) Officiating didn’t fire last time, but his recent works indicate he’s ready for a bounce-back effort on turf. (4) Creative Cloud debuts for Joseph off a blazing work and could be the main rival. (8) Comedy Town rallied for third in his debut and should be a factor here. (7) Borkan was a wide third in his debut and might work out a better trip here. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-5-7-8.

3rd race – (8) Honorable returns to a straight claimer and has enough early speed to handle this field. (1) Indy Tourist should benefit from a ground-saving trip here. (5) Chao flopped last time but could rebound here. (2) Southern Passage is worth a look on turf. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-5-8. Doubles: 1-2-5-8 with 3-4-5.

4th race – (5) Ishfaaq looks like she’s ready for a strong effort in her debut and gets the nod here. (3) Raspberry Ballet should be closing quickly at the end. (4) Favorite Sin adds blinkers and figures to be a main threat. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-5.

7th race – (6) Shootin the Breeze (B) comes off a narrow win and seems well-spotted an encore victory. (2) Pleasecallmeback was second or third in his last three starts and should be the main rival. (9) Ocean Map could be tough to catch from the outside post. (1) Calibrator woke up with a solid win last time and will be dangerous here. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-6-9.

9th race – (4) Loriloupies hasn’t raced since a sharp second in July but is working like she’s ready for a strong showing. (7) Comp’d should be in front early and will have to be reeled in. (6) Foxy Mischief had a rough trip last time and is due for better luck today. (3) Let’s Be Honest fits in well with this group. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-6-7.
