2nd race – (6) Reneesdreamgirl returns to dirt after failing to fire on Tapeta and should be hard to beat at this level. (7) Shez Reckless also moves back to dirt and could be a contender. (4) Hannita’s Empire might wake up in this spot. (1) Kingston Queen may rule from the rail. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-6-7. Doubles: 1-4-6-7 with 1-3-4.

3rd race – (4) Inevitable Me debuts for Fawkes who has been doing quite well on Tapeta and deserves top billing. (3) Cacheton is another firster who might have a say in the outcome. (1) Mitico is capable of perking up in a claimer. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-4.

5th race – (10) Tackle (C) dropped from 3-1 to 2-1 and missed by a nose. Makes amends for that loss here. (7) Another Duke will welcome a return to turf. (11) Dreaming of Gerry deserves attention off the Maker claim. (3) Ricochet had a useful comeback race on Tapeta and can bounce back into top form here. Betting strategy: 10  to win, place. Exacta box: 3-7-10-11. Doubles: 3-7-10-11 with 1-3-5-8.

6th race – (3) Pigott debuts for Pletcher and seems ready for a big effort. (1) Silver Spur put in a fast work for this and looks like the one to reel in from the rail. (8) Invisible War will appreciate the cutback to a sprint. (5) S. Muffin is worth a look despite the layoff. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-5-8.

9th race – (3) American Icon (A) breezed to an easy victory for Pletcher in his debut and should make it two in a row today. (6) Iron Works is another Pletcher runner who won at first asking and could complete the exacta for the Hall of Fame trainer. (8) Skippylongstocking exits a stakes and merits attention. (1) Graphic Detail should work out a nice trip from the rail. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-6-8.
