3rd race – (4) Moon Pistol had some traffic problems when he was second and should make amends for that setback here. (7) It’s a Risk was fourth behind the top pick and might be closer today. (3) More Than Unusual drops a notch and may wake up at this level. (6) Deckology finds a level where he should be competitive. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-7. Exactas: 4-7 over 3-6 and 3-6 over 4-7. Doubles: 3-4-6-7 with 2-4-5-6.

4th race – (5) Foxxy Belle (B) staged a nice rally for second and should get the job done today. (2) Liza Star had a useful debut on turf and might move forward today. (6) Precocious Peach exits a Claiming Crown stakes and fits better here. (4) Extra Effort might respond to a dirt to turf switch. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5. Exactas: 2-5 over 4-6 and 4-6 over 2-5.

6th race – (8) Bareeqa had an awkward start in his first race after a layoff of more than four months and settled for third. Can prevail here with a smooth trip. (1) Lookinlikeaqueen only missed by a length in a Sunshine Millions Stakes and looks like the one to fear. (6)  I’m Listening rallied nicely for second and could pay a quick dividend off the claim for Breen. (7) Nantucket Red had a rocky trip and never threatened. Should be a bigger threat today. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-6-7-8.

8th race – (6) Ampersand flopped in the Grade 1 Hopeful but is training sharply for his comeback race and gets the nod. (5) Tiz Handsome lost his rider last time and seems to have enough talent to be a main threat here. (3) Real Talk has a nice turn of speed and should make his presence felt. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-5-6. Doubles: 3-5-6 with 2-3-5-8.

9th race – (8) Yes I Am Free seeks a third straight win and seems to be properly spotted to keep the win streak alive. (5) Jackson might perk up while switching to turf. (2) Blind Ambition exits a stakes and will appreciate the class relief. (3) Dare Day was an eye-opening second in his turf debut and will be dangerous if he can duplicate that performance. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-5-8.
