1st race – (1) Choose to Be Happy drops a notch and gets a little more distance here. Switching to Paco will help. (2) Sprite’s Lady returns to turf and should wake up with Jose Ortiz aboard. (9) Motherwell might like the added distance. (5) Map Em Up ships in from Tampa off a solid race. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-5-9. Doubles: 1-2-5-9 with 1-4-5-7. Pick 3: 1-2-5-9 with 1-4-5-7 with 3-6-7-8.

2nd race – (5) Silver Cloud makes her first start for Gargan and has done well on an all-weather surface before. Gets the nod here. (4) Headline Hunter has turned in two sharp efforts over the course and looks like the one to fear. (1) Code Name Lise is worth a look off the Joseph claim. (7) Stuck On Kitten won easily last time and cannot be overlooked. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-5. Exactas: 4-5 over 1-7 and 1-7 over 4-5. Doubles: 1-4-5-7 with 3-6-7-8.

3rd race – (7) Oakhurst adds Lasix and tries Tapeta. Sounds like some winning moves by Brown. (3) Ojeleye tired on turf but may hang on here on Tapeta. (8) Only Time was second in her last two tries and belongs in the exotics. (6) Adelie missed by a neck last time and should be in the picture again. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-6-7-8.

6th race – (8) Backatya returns to a winning claiming level and should prove best. (9) Whiskeyonhislips was a losing favorite in six straight races before he finally broke his maiden. Perhaps he’s primed for another strong effort. (4) Act of Valor flopped last time but can rebound with a switch to Irad. (7) Rayo Colorado was second to the top pick last time and should be in the picture once again. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-7-8-9. Doubles: 4-7-8-9 with 2-5-6-7.

7th race – (6) Tiz Rye Time (B) had a rough trip last time after enduring a bumpy start and wide trip. Makes amends here. (5) Man On the Moon was second last time when the top pick was fourth. Should be the main rival. (2) Uno Tiger moves back to dirt after a win on Tapeta and should be a contender. (7) Rebelde is worth a look in his first try for Crichton. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 5-6. Exactas: 5-6 over 2-7 and 2-7 over 5-6.
