1st race – (3) Lease adds Lasix and drops to a level where he should wake up with a big effort. (11) Demon also descends to a level where he could be effective. (12) Easton Rocks should fare better in a claimer. (5) Liams Star had some trouble at the start last time and will be tougher here. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-5-11-12.

5th race – (9) Voter Protection was third in his last two starts and seems to be progressing toward a big effort here. (6) Creative Cloud is a firster who could be a major threat here. (8) Triple Jeopardy will appreciate the added distance in this contest. (7) Magical Adventure fits in nicely with this group and deserves some attention. Betting strategy: 9 to win, place. Exacta box: 6-7-8-9. Doubles: 6-7-8-9 with 1-2-5-6. Pick 3: 6-7-8-9 with 1-2-5-6 with 1-2-3-4.

6th race – (1) Rough Entry (B) flopped on turf but with a return to the main track can use his speed to lead from start to finish. (6) Starship Apollo seems to be getting better for Sweezey and cannot be ignored. (5) Vinnie Van Go could bounce back with a good effort in this field. (2) Game Boy Benny exits a Claiming Crown stakes and merits a look in this field. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-6. Exactas: 1-6 over 2-5 and 2-5 over 1-6. Doubles: 1-2-5-6 with 1-2-3-4.

7th race – (2) Spill the Tea had an educational first start and should take a big step forward in his second try. (1) Broken Table got away to a slow start then rallied nicely to take fourth. Can make her presence felt here with a smooth trip. (3) Forever Boss seems poised for a big try in her career debut. (4) Gabby Squared rallied belatedly when fifth in her debut and can be a factor here. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3-4.

10th race – (5) Kantharos’ Image should welcome a return to  a claimer and looks best here. (3) Mai Ty One On has been freshened and might be ready for a sharp try. (1) Donnels Creek ran well enough on synthetics to be a factor here. (10) Seven Gems is consistent and is a big threat to wind up in the exotics. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-5-10.
