1st race – (8) May I cuts back to a sprint while trying claimers for the first time and that can add up to a winning trip. (1) Shoug was a good second after a lengthy layoff. He adds blinkers here and should be the main threat. (5) Suspicious Minds is an interesting firster from Clement. (3) Anonymous Source rallied belatedly in her debut and should be a factor against this field. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-5-8.

3rd race – (3) Trade Deal was competitive in stakes in his last two starts and has a class edge here. (6) Scarlett Sky flopped in a stakes but can rebound here. (2) Take Profit put in a sharp drill for this and merits attention. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-6.

5th race – (1) Elliereeseaston is a mouthful to pronounce but off a class drop and adding Lasix and blinkers she should have the final say when it comes to the outcome. (5) R Tenderoni was third in her debut and should benefit from that experience. (7) British Edge can benefit from a class drop here. (2) I’m a Coco Pebbles was second last time and should not be ignored. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-5-7.

7th race – (2) Miss Peppina was third in her first start for Pletcher and can take a step forward here. (3) Don’t Get Khozy has been second or third in her last three starts and rates as the one to fear. (6) Time to Two Step rallied for second and should be a big threat in the stretch. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-6. Doubles: 2-3-6 with 2-4-5-7.

8th race – (7) Krsto Skye (C) dropped from even money to 3-5 and was a front-running winner in a Claiming Crown stakes. Should make it two in a row here. (4) New York’s Finest figures to be well-suited by the five-furlong distance and looks like the one to fear. (2) Infinite will benefit from a return to turf. (5) Fully Loaded is in great form now and can’t be overlooked. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5-7.
