1st race – (5) Ghostly Beauty drops into a claimer and gets Irad. She should find the competition to her liking. (8) Glorious Gal has had problems at the start in her last two tries and could wake up here. (7) Positive Skew rallied for third last time and should be a stretch threat. (9) I Wonder gets back on turf and seems ready for a big effort. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 5-7-8-9.

3rd race - (6) Flaming Hot (B) had a troubled trip last time and deserves a second chance here. (2) Friendly Fella has some speed and should be a main contender. (7) Franco’s Team drops to a level where he might be effective. (4) It’s a Risk won his last and will be a major factor here. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-6-7.

6th race – (8) Candy Jar bumped the gate at the start and then rallied belatedly for fourth in a useful debut. Should move forward off that try. (5) Equuleus was third in his first two starts and can take a step forward here. (1) Rockstar Ro has solid early speed and will be tough to catch from the rail. (6) Comedy Town is an interesting first-time starter from Trombetta. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-5-6-8.

9th race – (4) Roman Empire was a game second after a six-month break. Should have better fitness today and notch a victory over this group. (2) Scar comes off a game effort on the front end and could be the one to fear. (1) Noble Drama has been no worse than third in his last five starts and belongs in the exotics. (5) Quenane has been running in stakes and will enjoy some class relief here. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4. Exactas: 2-4 over 1-5 and 1-5 and 2-4. Doubles: 1-2-4-5 with 3-4-5-8.

10th race – (5) Extravagant Kid (A) was bumped at the start and then rallied quickly in the stretch to finish second by a neck to a top turf sprinter. He makes amends for that loss here. (3) Legal Deal was hurt by a wide trip last time and could rebound here. (4) Souper Stonehenge was second to a talented stablemate who won a Grade 3 stakes at GP last Saturday. He fits in nicely here. (8) Jackson was second in his last two starts and cannot be ignored. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-5-8.
