1st race – (6) Queens Embrace (C) dropped from 3-1 to 2-1 and won nicely in a Claiming Crown stakes. Looks much the best here. (4) Jabuticaba exits a front-running effort when she finished first but was disqualified and placed second. She could be tough to catch here. (7) Get Rewarded is also coming off a win and should be a big threat. (8) Zodiac Princess picked up the win when Jabuticaba was DQ’d and should be right there at the end. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-6-7-8.

3rd race – (6) Camellia Gal was claimed off a front-running win by Maker and gets the nod here. (3) Valletta broke her maiden in her last start for Gargan and looms a main threat. (4) Wicked Mercury seeks a third straight win and cannot be ignored. (5) Omnia deserves backing as she returns to Gulfstream where she’s won her last two starts. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-6. Exactas: 3-6 over 4-5 and 4-5 over 3-6.

5th race – (5) Core Conviction is a firster from Chad who seems ready for a big effort in his debut. (3) King Angelo was a game second in his debut and should be the one to fear while moving to turf. (9) Rochambeau missed by a neck last time and cannot be ignored here. (2) High Deff was third in both starts and can bring home a check once again. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-5-9.

7th race – (5) Coffee Buzz Buzz was an improved third in her first try on turf. Adds Lasix today and could take another step forward. (7) Viburnum should be closing quickly at the end and belongs in the exotics. (8) Terry’s Dream might perk up on turf. (4) I Get It fits better here after tackling stakes rivals last time. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-5-7-8.

9th race – (4) Honorable has won two in a row for Pletcher and is nicely spotted for a hat trick. (7) Richiegotgame returns to turf and will be dangerous while chasing a third straight win. (9) Fulmini gets back on turf and seems ready for a better effort. (11) Chao has the kind of closing kick that makes him a top contender. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-7-9-11.
