1st race – (1) Crystal Coast was second in two of his last three starts but today looks like graduation day for her. (9) Irazu returns to a level where she was second and should be a tough rival. (3) Union Park Gal faltered in the stretch and faded to third last time. Should be a factor once again. (7) Sister Is Devil could sneak into the picture at the end. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-7-9.

3rd race – (7) Hartling was a winner at this level off a class drop and can make it two in a row here. (6) Etana should be the main threat in this spot. (3) Grace’s Drama won her last and cannot be discounted here. (2) Sassy Justice should be part of the superfecta. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 6-7. Exactas: 2-3 over 6-7 and 6-7 over 2-3.

5th race – (2) Dontpushyourluck was claimed by Maker off a neck loss and should be the one to beat. (6) Driving Wind rallied for third last time and  could emerge as the main threat. (5) In Vain was a close fourth and should not be overlooked. (3) Swirling Wine has a nice turn of speed and could last for a share. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-5-6.

7th race – (1) Dr. Shane was a game second last time and should reach the winner’s circle today. (2) Pagliacci finds a spot where he may wake up. (4) J P Hellish had some trouble at the start and couldn’t flash his early speed. Look for a better effort here. (9) Basha should be closing quickly at the end. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4-9. Doubles: 1-2-4-9 with 1-5-6.

8th race – (5) Storm Runner (A) gave a Pegasus runner-up Jesus’ Team a good tussle last time and should appreciate the class relief here. (1) Quenane might appreciate the cutback to a one-turn mile. (6) Fort Peck will be dangerous on his best try. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-5-6.
