1st race – (12) Where’s Joey (D) dropped from 3-1 to 2-1 then tired in the stretch to finish fifth. Has enough speed to win from the outside post off the class drop. (9) Campeador was third in his last two tries and should be a threat late. (7) War Feather comes off a pair of seconds and should be a factor once again. (2) Loyal Louie drops a notch and could have a say in the outcome. Betting strategy: 12 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-7-9-12. Doubles: 2-7-9-12 with 1-2-3-7.

2nd race – (1) American Tap makes her third start after a layoff and should be formidable off the class drop. (7) Workinonbeinsingle has a nice turn of speed and could be tough to catch. (2) Polished Lady returns to Tapeta and merits a close look. (3) Emirates Affair will appreciate the turnback to a sprint. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3-7.

4th race – (9) Starting Up didn’t fire on dirt may welcome a chance to run on turf. (3) Never Say Know gets back on turf and should respond with a sharp effort. (8) Hilarious Affair moves over to turf and is worth a close look. (4) High Front is a firster from Thomas who can be a contender in this spot. Betting strategy: 9 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-8-9.

7th race – (7) Mizzen was a dull fourth on a sloppy track and should thrive on a fast track. (2) Katiesdreamgirl should be well-suited by a dirt sprint. (4) Sweet Penelope has a big turn of speed and may be hard to reel in. (3) Bargainaire seems overdue for a sharp effort. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-7. Exactas: 2-7 over 3-4 and 3-4 over 2-7.

9th race – (6) Una Luna fizzled in a Claiming Crown stakes but can rebound with a big effort here. (8) Kitten’s Romance was third last time and can take a step forward in this spot. (3) Anonymously might perk up in a claimer. (4) My Sweet Wife should be closing quickly in the final furlong. Betting strategy:  6 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-6-8.
