1^st race – (10) Exaggerated Moment is a firster for Ward who seems ready for a big effort in her debut. (7) Fior Di Latte might be hard to catch at a shorter distance. (9) La Dame should be more competitive at this lower level. (8) Pitufina is worth a look while switching to turf. Betting strategy: 10 to win, place. Exacta box: 7-8-9-10.

3rd race – (3) Cold Warrior drops to a level where his late kick should be effective and land him in the winner’s circle. (4) The Spider missed by a neck last time and looks like one to fear here. (7) Deo Forte faces weaker rivals and should be a threat here. (8) Took a Cab might respond to the class drop with a better showing today. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-7-8.

5th race – (7) Discretionary Marq was claimed by Breen out a race in which he was bumped late while losing by a little less than three lengths. He should work out a winning trip here. (3) Dugout takes a drastic class drop and will be a force if he reverts to his past form. (1) Gran Malbec was checked late and deserves a second chance here. (4) Colonel Tom has won two out of his last three starts and merits consideration. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-4-7. Doubles: 1-3-4-7 with 1-4-5-7.

6th race – (4) Gitana (B) was a clear second after setting the pace last time and might not look back here off the Zerpa claim. (7) Sweetsweetsweet could be hard to catch while switching back to dirt. (5) Classy Beast didn’t fire last time but may perk up here on the main track. (1) Queen Abarrio might benefit from a rail trip. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-5-7.

9th race – (2) Magical Soul closed nicely for second last time at this level and seems primed for a winning effort. (3) Gambling Cat gets Irad and Lasix and may wake up for Maker. (6) Fouzia was an even fourth off a 3 ½-month layoff and should improve off that try. (7) La Libertee stumbled and lost her rider last time but is working sharply for her comeback. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3. Exactas: 2-3 over 6-7 and 6-7 over 2-3.
