1st race – (8) Herculina steps up in class for her first race since August but has been working sharply and seems set for a winning effort. (6) Gingeronmymind woke up at a lower level and finished second. Looks like the main threat here. (9) Remarkable Silver might wake up in this spot. (5) Copper is worth a look off the class drop. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 5-6-8-9.

3rd race - (8) Sainthood is a firster for Pletcher who has been working well and deserves top billing here. (2) Lamutanaatty debuts for Chad and should be a formidable foe. (1) Gran Runner was second in his last two starts and looks best among the experienced runners. (5) Atlantic Road is another firster from Pletcher who can be a factor here. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-5-8.

5th race – (6) Untreated is a firster from Chad who arrives with high expectations and should prevail here. (4) Candy Man Rocket didn’t fire on a sloppy track in his debut. May rebound on a fast track. (5) Blitz to Win is a firster from Tiz the Law’s crew who can make his presence felt. (3) Promise Keeper seems poised for a sharp debut. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-5-6.

8th race – (4) Long Blade (B) will welcome a return to a turf sprint after flopping at a longer distance on the main track. (12) Freewheeler has enough speed to overcome a tough post and be a key threat. (1) Silverly Enough makes his turf debut and could enjoy the surface switch. (6) Big Drink of Water will also be part of the early pace and might be battling until the very end. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-6-12.

10th race – (6) Analyze It has had some setbacks in his career but seems ready to start 2021 on a winning note. (7) Tusk won this stakes last year and should benefit from his last start, which ended an 11-month layoff. (9) Flying Scotsman has put in some sharp works for today’s race. (1) Admission Office landed the rail and should be helped by ground-saving trip. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-6-7-9.
