3rd race – (6) Favor didn’t fire in her first try for Pletcher. Deserves a second chance here. (3) Catiche moves over to dirt and may like it. (2) Lakota Spirit is an interesting first-time starter for Chad. (4) Fulton Market can take a step forward after a third-place finish in her debut. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-6. Exactas: 3-6 over 2-4 and 2-4 over 3-6.

5th race – (2) American Tryst returns from a lengthy layoff but seems ready for a big effort here. (6) Deep State may turn in a better try on turf. (3) Aruba missed by a nose and should be a major factor. (1) Lord At War could benefit from a rail trip. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3-6.

7th race – (10) Lay the Groundwork debuts for Chad and seems poised for a winning effort here. (8) Walkathon was second last time and should be the main threat. (2) Veterans Highway is working sharply and could be a major factor. (4) Frozen Solid is another firster who may have bright future.  Betting strategy: 10 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-8-10. Doubles: 2-4-8-10 with 2-3-4.

8th race – (4) Eloquist flopped in a stakes but finds a group he can handle here. (2) Kitten Mischief comes off a debut win and shapes up as the one to fear. (3) A.P.’s Secret adds blinkers and Lasix here and can make his presence felt. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-4.

10th race – (1) Moon Party showed early speed then tired and finished third. May not look back from the rail. (2) Ticket to Heaven showed little in her debut but might rebound with the switch to Saez.  (6) Hard to Ignore gives Tapeta a try and might be right there at the finish. (7) Princess Blakely debuts for Chad and should not be ignored. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-6-7.
