1st race – (2) Breakthrough drops into a claimer and should prove best in this field. (7) The King Aquiles is on the upswing and should turn in a good effort off the Breen claim. (4) Uncut Gem can benefit from a class drop and cutback in distance. (3) Dreaming of Gus might appreciate a switch to turf. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-4-7. Doubles: 2-3-4-7 with 1-2-4.

2nd race – (2) Billy Yank faces cheaper claimers here and adds blinkers. Should post a maiden win here. (1) Warp Speed Baby is worth a look in his career debut. (4) Spheroid should perk up on the main track. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4.

5th race – (7) Peachy Queen (A) was a game second last time and should make amends in this spot. (4) Gaga Oh La La takes a big class drop and looks like the one to fear. (3) Facts Only might benefit from some added distance. (6) Roadhouse Blues returns from an eight-month layoff and will be a main threat if there’s no rust. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-6-7.

7th race – (1) Lullula was claimed by Maker out of a solid win and looks best in this spot. (4) Coworth Park should rebound back on turf. (5) Map Em Up has a nice turn of speed and could be tough to reel in. (2) Shang’s Sister was third in her first try against winners and will be a main factor. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4-5.

9th race – (7) Alwayz Late (C) dropped from 7-2 to 5-2 and responded with a strong closing kick to break her maiden. Can make it two in a row here. (1) Traffic Lane has the kind of speed that will make her  tough to catch from the rail. (3) Runaway Rockette can make her presence felt here. (5) Double Blessed should be closing quickly at the end. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-7. Exactas: 1-7 over 3-5 and 3-5 over 1-7.
