1st race – (4) Kanthartana returns to Tapeta while trying claimers for the first time. Seems the most logical winner. (3) Hickory Court gets Jose Ortiz for this try and should not be overlooked. (8) Gun for Success might be well-suited by Tapeta. (1) Chrome’s Right could be a contender here. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-4-8.

3rd race – (7) Blustery drops into a claimer and should prove best in this field. (6) South Pacific may be the main rival off the Joseph claim. (2) Triple P fits in well with this group. (1) Adios Babe has some speed and will benefit from a rail trip. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-6-7. Doubles: 1-2-6-7 with 1-3-6.

4th race – (3) Six Feet Apart was a frontrunning maiden winner and can lead throughout against these. (6) Silver Cloud was second in her last four tries and can complete the exacta again. (1) Ladies’ Choice will be better suited by turf. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-6.

6th race – (5) Fillmore East (C) dropped from 5-2 to 8-5 and responded with a winning effort. Is in sharp form with a first and second in her last two starts and looks best here. (4) Domineering should be the main rival off the class drop. (9) Motherwell returns to a sprint and adds Irad. Cannot be ignored. (6) American Tap merits consideration off the Barboza claim. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-5-6-9.

9th race – (6) Watch It rallied for second in her debut and should graduate today. (7) Investment Income shapes up as the one to fear off his best try. (1) Mozay figures to be formidable with a ground-saving trip. (5) The Flying Pharoah has been away for nearly a year but could make some noise here. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-5-6-7.
