2^nd race – (1) Golden Decision takes a big class drop and should prove best from the rail. (2) Ambassador Jim returns to a claimer and may wake up. (6) Miracle Silver is another class-dropper who should get a long look. (3) Till the End will be a threat on his best try. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2. Exactas: 1-2 over 3-6 and 3-6 over 1-2.

5th race – (5) Smart Spending seeks a third straight win and merits top billing. (8) Serenade a Kitten might improve off the move to Crichton’s barn. (3) Papa’s Little Girl disappointed last time but can wake up off the Barboza claim. (4) Odramark has enough speed to be a main threat. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-5-8.

6th race – (1) Watasha didn’t fire last year in his debut on dirt but should be well-suited by turf. (7) Guard of Honour is a firster who merits attention. (6) Causin’ Mayhem debuts for Pletcher and cannot be ignored. (5) Riot House has speed and could be tough to catch in this spot. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-5-6-7.

9th race – (1) Stay Restless (A) was a game second in his debut for Pletcher and should graduate today. (11) Emirates Road has put in some bullet works for his debut and cannot be ignored. (3) Under Oath debuts for Pletcher and can make his presence felt. (10) Majority Partner seems like an intriguing possibility in this field. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-10-11. Doubles: 1-3-10-11 with 5-6-7-8.

10th race – (5) Miss J McKay (D) was bet down from even-money to 3-5 but was pinched and checked at the start and never recovered. Can make amends here. (6) Naughty Shirley might appreciate a switch to turf. (7) A G Indy gets back on turf and will be formidable here. (8) Headline Hunter has enough ability to make some news here.
