1st race – (6) El Tabernero One turned in a much improved effort in his turf debut. Continued improvement will make him a major factor here. (2) Now a Jaguar drops in search of a winning level and may have found it here. (7) Duel Fan had a troubled trip last time and deserves a second chance here. (9) Quinto Sol gets back on turf and should be more competitive here. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-6-7-9.

3rd race - (2) Exact (C) dropped from even money to 1-2 and was decisive maiden winner. Should be able to handle winners here. (7) Third Time Around should be a big threat back in a claimer. (1) Turn It On has enough speed to benefit from a rail trip. (6) Viking Queen had some trouble last time and deserves a second chance against this field. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-7. Exactas: 2-7 over 1-6 and 1-6 over 2-7.

7th race – (1) Convict Pike battled gamely in the stretch to finish second by a half-length. Should get the job done today. (3) Freedom’s Flight drops after a dull comeback try but fits better here. (6) Pretendant might bounce back after a weak effort. (7) Break Beat is worth a look off the Garoffalo claim. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3. Exactas: 1-3 over 6-7 and 6-7 over 1-3.

9th race – (1) Jais’s Solitude makes his first start since July when he ran a surprisingly strong effort in a graded stakes. Seems ready for a nice effort of the layoff. (3) Monarchs Glen does well at this level and cannot be overlooked. (4) Bluegrass Parkway should be closing quickly at the end. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exactas: 1 over 3-4 and 3-4 over 1. Doubles: 1-3-4 with 2-4-7-8.

10th race – (4) Setting the Mood had a rough trip last time but should thrive at a lower class level. (7) Freddymo Factor was second in her last two tries and can make it a hat trick here. (2) She Fled the Scene belongs in the exotics against this group. (8) La Rusia should be a prime contender off the Orseno claim. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-7-8.
