2nd race – (5) Regal Speaker returns to turf and may prove best in this spot. (4) Mandate exits stakes company and cannot be overlooked. (1) Max K. O.  gets back on turf and should be a threat. (2) Landbiscuit will be a factor off his best try. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4-5.

4th race – (5) In the Union was hurt by a wide trip when third behind a highly regarded stablemate. Should prevail here. (6) Little Vic disappointed in a stakes but fits better here. (3) Swing Shift looked good winning his debut and will be a force in this field. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-5-6. Doubles: 3-5-6 with 1-2-6-8.

5th race – (8) Mount Sinai (B) rallied for second last time after waiting for room and should enjoy the added distance. (6) Paintbrush seeks a third straight win and figures to be the main rival. (2) Babyitsgoldoutside could warm up in this field. (1) Ukiyo has speed and may be tough to catch from the rail. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-6-8.

7th race – (3) Klugman (C) was bet down from even-money to 3-5 and romped by more than a dozen lengths. Will be tough to beat off a similar try. (8) Yes I’m a Beast seeks a third straight win and will be tough in this spot. (4) Clapton was third last time and figures to be in the exotics again. (2) Stormy Pattern merits consideration off a nice maiden win. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-4-8.  Doubles: 2-3-4-8 with 1-2-6-7.

8th race – (2) Basilia arrives off the Maker claim following a nose loss at Del Mar. Merits top billing in this field. (7) Entwine may perk up at this level. (6) Cultured has been training smartly for this start. (1) Runaway Rockette should welcome the stretchout. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-6-7.
