1st race – (5) Gunman (D) dropped from 3-1 to 2-1 flashed speed before tiring in the final furlong. Returns after a claim by Maker and could be tough to catch. (4) Mauro’s Team was second at this level two starts back and looks like the one to fear. (2) Maker of an Empire was an improved third last time and rates as a main factor here. (3) Macade should be considered while making his first start in a claimer. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-4-5. Doubles: 2-3-4-5 with 1-2-4-7.

2nd race - (4) R Love On the Run (B) returns to the main track, where she turned in the better of her two career starts. She was coming off an 8-month layoff that day and should be more fit for this try. (1) Skyfly was second last time and should be well-suited by the shorter distance here. (7) Cajun Lady could perk up in a claimer and on a wet track. (2) Playera was a distant second last time but fits better here.  Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4. Exactas: 1-4 over 2-7 and 2-7 over 1-4.

4th race – (1) Lovelorn Lady (A) was a game second in her career debut and should graduate from the maiden ranks today. (7) Honorably is working sharply for her debut and could be the main rival. (3) Callen’s Charisma is another firster who could be a factor here. (6) Freak was third last time and fits in well here. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-7. Exactas: 1-7 over 3-6 and 3-6 over 1-7.

6th race – (7) Uncle Fun missed by a neck against cheaper company but should be tough to handle here (1) Jeha settled for fourth last time but can take a step forward off the Joseph claim. (8) Mister Leonardo returns to a claimer where he was a winner the last time. (2) Chao will be dangerous for Maker in a claimer. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-7-8.

10th race – (2) Unaquoi should welcome a return to turf and respond with a big effort. (4) Merseyside was bump at the start and recovered nicely to finish third. Should be ready for a good effort after a six-month layoff. (6) Bernie’s Mistress might wake up going turf to dirt. (1) Lexintonia will be dangerous if she’s ready after a 1 ½-year layoff. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4-6.
