1st race – (8) Why Trust (C) took a big drop from 7-1 to 3-1 then was bumped at the start and rallied wide to finish a distant second. Can make amends here with a smooth trip. (1) Belleville Spring squandered a big lead in the stretch last time but may hang on here. (10) Decider takes a big class drop and may be a factor here. (7) London Werewolf was third and second in his last two starts and should be in the picture here. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-7-8-10.

3rd race – (3) Direct Approach has a strong late kick and may prove best here. (4) Positive Phil had a bumpy try last time and may improve off the Maker claim. (2) Lookin At Roses figures to be a stretch threat. (7) Smell of Roses might be tough to catch in this spot. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4. Exactas: 3-4 over 2-7 and 2-7 over 3-4. Doubles: 2-3-4-7 with 2-5-6-8.

4th race – (6) So Darn Hot is an interesting first-time starter from Weaver who deserves top billing here. (8) Pleasant Orb was a game second last time and should be the main rival. (2) Sneer might welcome a return to the main track. (5) Guarded Secret could be a contender in her career debut. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-6-8.

6th race – (4) Tournesol (B) had some trouble at the start and then rallied to finish third in a claiming stakes. Should be the one to beat in this spot. (1) Rising Bella rallied for fifth in the same race and may be the key threat. (6) Memphis Showboat comes off a maiden win and merits consideration. (5) Special Liaison will be dangerous if she can duplicate her last try. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place.  Exacta box: 1-4. Exactas: 1-4 over 5-6 and 5-6 over 1-4. Doubles: 1-4-5-6 with 2-3-5-6.

7th race – (3) He Iz Gone might bounce back with some added distance. (2) More Than Striking turns back to a sprint and should be the main competition. (4) Kyle might be tough to catch with blinkers added. (6) Joe Di Baggio didn’t fire last time but can rebound at this level. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place.  Exacta box: 2-3. Exactas: 2-3 over 5-6 and 5-6 over 2-3.
