1st race – (1) Stolen Money trotted across the wire 81 lengths behind in his lone start. But he drops in class after he was gelded, gets Lasix and switches to Gaffalione. Is worth a look in this field. (4) No Man Left Behind is a firster from the same connections as the top pick and seems like the next best option. (3) Urmizzenthepoint might respond to a switch to Tapeta. (8) Mekano has enough speed to be a threat here. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-4-8.

3rd race – (4) Hardspun Woman tries a claimer for the first time and may appreciate the class drop. (6) Proton Pack is a firster from Ward, who sends out fit runners but his results drop in two-turn races. (3) Kelsey’s Shot returns from a layoff with Lasix and merits respect. (5) Z First can make her presence felt in this field. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-5-6. Doubles: 3-4-5-6 with 2-5-8-9.

4th race – (9) Hatari (D) was bet down from 7-2 to 3-1 and didn’t fire while racing wide. Should work out a better trip in this spot. (2) Freccia d’Argento might welcome a change to synthetics. (5) Cindy’s Song returns to Tapeta, where she broke her maiden. (8) Susans Novela will be a stretch threat here. Betting strategy: 9 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-8-9.

7th race – (2) Smarmy (A) was shuffled back at the start in a sprint and still rallied for third. Makes amends here. (5) Our Fantasy might rebound with a better effort in this spot. (1) Celestial Cheetah faded last time but Irad stays on board and that’s a good sign. (4) Battle Cry was a distant second and fits well here. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5. Exactas: 2-5 over 1-4 and 1-4 over 2-5. Doubles: 1-2-4-5 with 5-6-7-10.

8th race – (5) Cocoa Icing (B) missed by a head last time despite rallying wide. Gets the job done here. (6) Chica Boom runs without blinkers and may be hard to catch. (7) Tiz Impressive will be better suited on turf. (10) Sinfulicious was a promising third in her debut but landed a bad post. Betting strategy: 10 to win, place. Exacta box: 5-6-7-10.
