1st race – (8) Robbedinthebahamas was a promising second last time and might steal this one. (7) Trinni Surprise returns to dirt and could wake up in a weak field. (6) Cash Express drops in class and may fit in here. (4) Rye Sense of Humor has been away for a while but could be a threat here. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-6-7-8.

3rd race – (9) Grand Mamibella has been competitive at this level and may have finally found a field she can handle. (2) Twin Cause ships in from Fair Grounds and might like Tapeta. (6) Moclips is worth a look off the Joseph claim despite a dismal try last time. (7) Magnolia Road could be a factor in the final furlong. Betting strategy: 9 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-6-7-9. Doubles: 2-6-7-9 with 1-4-5-7.

4th race – (4) Miss Sakamoto (A) rallied belatedly for second in her career debut which was switched from turf to Tapeta. Should make amends for that loss here on turf. (7) Fulton Market showed speed last time and then settled for second. Should enjoy the switch to turf. (5) Kodama returns for her first race since August but her connections thought enough of her back then to try in her in a stakes as a maiden. (1) Never should be a main contender from the rail. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-7. Exactas: 4-7 over 1-5 and 1-5 over 4-7.

7th race – (1) Hannita’s Empire was a rallying second in a sprint and might welcome a stretchout to a one-turn mile. (3) Ice Love is capable of heating up going from turf to dirt. (5) Queen Camilla has enough late speed to be dangerous in the final furlong. (6) Nebuli has done her best racing on Tapeta but could be a threat here. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3. Exactas: 1-3 over 5-6 and 5-6 over 1-3. Doubles: 1-3-5-6 with 4-5-6.

8th race – (5) Clapton (A) closed fast but missed by a nose last time. An encore performance at this distance can leave his backers feeling wonderful tonight. (6) Hey Porter was claimed by Walder last time and should be a contender here. (4) Sunsanddrinkinhand won his debut in a manner that suggests he might have a pleasant future.  Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-5-6.
