2nd race – (11) Followhisfootsteps showed speed and faltered in the stretch. Might hang on here. (4) Very Amusing was second last time out and should be a main threat. (6) Nacho Papa drops to a level where he should be effective. (3) Meet Cute might relish a drop to this level. Betting strategy: 11 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-6-11.

5th race – (4) Sister Otoole rallied nicely for third in her first try on turf. Should get the job done here. (1) Jeana’s Gem is worth a close look in her turf debut. (9) Tynan looks like the one they’ll have to catch in the stretch. (5) Raspberry Ballet was second in a claimer and might play a role in the outcome. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-5-9.

7th race - (6) Blue Buff (A) was an easy winner last time and can make it two in a row here. (3) Yes I See might find the switch to two turns agreeable. (5) Animal Trick could be rough to catch in this spot. (4) Gray Beau has enough late speed to be a factor here. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-5-6. Doubles: 3-4-5-6 with 1-7-8-9.

8th race – (8) Too Much War had a useful comeback race after a 14-month layoff and should turn in a better performance today. (1) Jost Sayin rallied for second and will benefit from a rail trip. (9) Elite Appeal was a close third last time and can her presence felt here. (7) Karenina was second at this level and should be a factor once again. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-7-8-9.

10th race – (1) Peacock Kitten returns to claimers and should be tough to beat at this level. (11) The Mighty Judge will relish a return to turf. (7) Fantasizing returns to turf and may wake up. (3) Belgrano also moves back to turf and should turn in an improved effort. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place.  Exacta box: 1-3-7-11.
