2nd race – (3) Vicky Apple (C) dropped from 7-2 to 5-2 and finished a distant third. Was claimed by Joseph and should handle this group. (6) Sweet Blossom takes a significant class drop and is a threat on her best try. (10) Tiz Possible Dear returns to a claimer and fits in well. (12) Enlisting comes off a big win and will be a handful if she can duplicate that effort. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-6-10-12.

4th race – (7) Center Aisle debuts for Brown and should be ready for a big effort. (5) Noudha was fourth in her debut at Saratoga and figures to fare better today. (12) Say Moi is a firster from Mott who seems to have some potential. (13) Starlit Daydream will be dangerous if he scratches into this field. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 5-7-12-13. Doubles: 5-7-12-13 with 1-3-6-9.

5th race – (1) Bean Counter drops into a claimer and should prove best from the rail. (6) Buddy’s Memory steps up after the Joseph claim and merits respect. (9) I Am Magical should be more competitive in a claimer. (3) Trieste turned in a nice effort last time and would be a factor with a similar try. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-6-9.

7th race – (1) Blazing Desire (D) was bet down from 2-1 to 3-2 and then led to mid-stretch before faltering. May hang on here from the rail. (4) Mystery Bank missed by a neck in a maiden race but has enough speed to be a factor here. (8) Castagno rallied to win his last start and should not be ignored here. (2) Rebelde could be a threat in the final furlong. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place.  Exacta box: 1-2-4-8. Doubles: 1-2-4-8 with 3-4-9-11.

8th race – (4) Morocco returns to a claimer after faltering in a stakes race and should prevail over this bunch. (9) Ambassador Jim was hurt by a wide trip and might fare better today. (11) Westerland should thrive here in a claimer. (3) Faraway Kitten moves up off a claim and could be competitive. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place.  Exacta box: 3-4-9-11.
