1st race – (3) Miitary Commander was claimed by Walder after a dismal try and might wake up here. (8) Flamingo Hawk could find his groove while turning back to a sprint and dropping in class. (5) Kolohe Prince was second last time and should be in the picture once again. (1) Dr. Roger fits in well with this bunch. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-5-8. Doubles: 1-3-5-8 with 1-2-3-5.

2nd race – (1) Aerodynamic gets a rail trip here and that might be enough to propel her into the winner’s circle. (5) Passion Plus will be a factor here off her best try. (2) Something Magical should be better suited by a shorter distance. (3) Nymue’s Treasure cannot be ignored after losing by a neck.  Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3-5.

4th race – (2) Rocking the Boat was claimed off a good runner-up finish and could pay a quick dividend. (5) Benefactor steps up but is game and should be a contender here. (7) Town Classic was second in his last five starts and belongs in the exotics. (3) Cove Blue is worth a look in this group. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5. Exactas: 2-5 over 3-7 and 3-7 over 2-5.

8th race – (3) Sir Ollie (C) took late money in dropping from 8-5 to 6-5 and finished second in his first try against winners. He makes amends here. (4) Shoo Shine was a front-running winner last time and will be dangerous here. (5) Gatsby was a good second last time and could be in the picture once again. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-5. Doubles: 3-4-5 with 3-4-5-6.

9th race – (3) Sally’s Curlin has been racing in graded stakes and will welcome the class relief while trying turf. (4) Kissing Frogs will be closing quickly and shapes up as the one to fear. (5) Our Bay B Ruth might perk up in this spot. (6) Lashara rarely turns in a bad effort and should not be ignored. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-5-6.
