1st race – (2) Noble Maria drops to a level where she should finally post a maiden win. (5) Special Beach takes a slight drop in claiming price and should fit in well here. (12) Generic Mark takes a big drop off a layoff but has a rough post to overcome. (4) Nanie’s Treasure tired after a layoff and could be more fit for this try. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5-12.

3rd race – (9) Alpilles (C) was sitting on the  board at 40-1, then dropped to 34-1 and proceeded to post a frontrunning win. Is worth a close look once again. (12) Nilestar was given a freshening and may wake up here. (4) Princess Carrigan was a game second last time and is the one to fear. (5) Sugar Bolt could be tough to catch here. Betting strategy: 9 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-5-9-12. Doubles: 4-5-9-12 with 4-7-9-11.       

4th race – (7) Castillete (B) was bumped at the start and never recovered. Deserves a second chance here. (11) More Than Usual could be dangerous while stretching out at this distance. (9) Consilium may respond to the switch to turf. (4) Ima Coalman switches to Saez and merits attention. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-7-9-11.

7th race – (2) Island Tap (C) dropped from 8-1 to 4-1 and was a sharp gate-to-wire winner. May not look back in this spot, either. (8) Life in Shambles drops while debuting for Walder and could be the main rival. (7) Good Bye Greg has a dangerous turn of speed. (6) Shared Legacy cannot be ignored after a keen maiden win. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-6-7-8.

10th race – (5) Who’s in Charge shipped in from New York and seems best in this spot. (10) Quijote has a class edge and may rebound against these. (4) South Sea makes his first start for Joseph and could find smooth sailing. (8) Atthepearlygates romped last time and will be a major threat if he can duplicate that effort. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place.  Exacta box: 4-5-8-10.
