1st race – (5) Turn of Events ran OK as a maiden in a stakes then returned to the MSW ranks and was hurt by a four-wide trip. Can work out a better trip here with a switch to Saez. (10) Hero d’Oro is an interesting first-time starter from Chad who merits attention. (7) East Lex will be a factor in the final furlong. (2) Coach Temple is another making his debut who can contend here. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-7-10.

3rd race - (4) Or’effice (C) was bet down from 6-1 to 4-1 and ran well enough to earn a spot on the “A” list. Was bottled up inside then was blocked by the winner when he tried to move outside. Was clearly second best and should get an overdue diploma today. (1) Ajhar makes his first start for Pletcher and looks like the one to fear. (6) Cornbread Kingdom gets a jockey switch and may wake up. (7)  Newsworthy is worth a look in his career debut for Mott. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exactas: 4 over 1-6-7 and 1-6-7 over 4.

9th race - (6) Stunning Sky (B) staged a nice late rally last time when beaten by less than two lengths and can prevail here with a switch to Gaffalione. (2) Highland Glory (C) dropped from 6-1 to 9-2 and prevailed in a stakes in her first try against winners. Looms as a formidable foe. (1) Envoutante won for fun on the main track, but can he duplicate that effort on turf? (12) Seducer drew a horrible post but gets Irad to balance things. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-6-12. Doubles: 1-2-6-12 with 2-3-5-6.

10th race – (3) Network Effect (A) clipped heels at the start and dropped back to last before rallying for second. Makes amends here in a minor stakes. (6) He Hate Me chased a quick pace and tired last time. Should be better placed here. (2) Last Judgment disappointed last time but can bounce back here. (5) Red Crescent missed by a head last time and will be a threat on the turnback. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-5-6.

12th race – (10) Hotty Toddy (B) was forced to rally seven wide and missed by a little more than a length. Switches from an apprentice to Irad and should get the job done. (5) La Incondicional (C) dropped from 2-1 to 7-5 and won sharply. Should be a force here. (6) Paint the Corners could land a piece of the purse. (4) Britesideoftheroad could benefit from a lack of pace in the race. Betting strategy: 10 to win, place.  Exacta box: 4-5-6-10.
