st race – (3) American Ninja won by five last time and finds another field he can handle here. (4) Yamato also won his last start and has the kind of stretch kick that can be effective here. (1) Light Fury may work out a good trip from the rail. (11) Town Classic adds Gaffalione and is worth a look.

nd race – (1) Beyond Best stretches out to two turns for his second start and is working forwardly for this assignment. (9) Happy Boy Rocket should move forward in his second start for Mott. (10) Complete Agenda exits an improved effort at Tampa and can be a factor here. (6) Montauk Point returns from a layoff with Lasix and may be a contender.

rd race - (8) Star Seeking makes her U.S. debut for Pletcher and deserves top billing. (11) Gladys exits a fifth in stakes company and could be the main rival. (9) Champagne Lady returned from a layoff with an impressive win and cannot be ignored. (2) Kate’s Kingdom returns to turf and might be more formidable this time.

th race – (10) Swing Shift is working sharply toward his career debut and seems poised for a big effort. (5) Mackillop is another firster with interesting credentials. (9) Surpassing was second in his debut at Tampa and can be a contender here. (11) Positive Reviews adds blinkers after finishing third and second in his two starts. Should be a main threat.

th race – The La Prevoyante Stakes, G3 - (4) Always Shopping won the Via Borghese last time and can bundle another stakes win in this spot. (6) Beautiful Lover was third behind the top pick last time but can be closer here. (2) Sister Otoole returns quickly and tries turf again. Will be dangerous on her best try. (8) Hungry Kitten rallied belatedly but may work out a better trip here.

h race – (4) Frosted Over ships in from Woodbine with an excellent record on an all-weather surface and should prove best. (7) Telephone Talker ran huge in his Tapeta debut and could wind up as the main rival. (8) Order and Law may appreciate the switch to a synthetic surface. (2) Wolfie’s Dynaghost has an interesting pedigree for this surface.

th race – The W. L. McKnight Stakes, G3 - (10) Abaan drew a miserable post but has enough speed to overcome it and lead throughout in this marathon turf test. (1) Temple may benefit from a ground-saving trip from the rail. (9) Glynn Country will be a force if he can duplicate his best try. (2) Oriental Trigger showed some success on turf in Chile and might perk up here.

th race – The Inside Information Stakes, G2 - (8) Just One Time makes her first start for Cox and should notch a victory here. (2) A G Indy switches from turf and might respond with a big effort. (7) Jakarta comes off an impressive win and should not ignored. (3) Dance d’Oro has speed and may be tough to catch in this field.

th race – The Pegasus World Cup Filly and Mare Turf, G3 - (4) Regal Glory won the Grade 1 Matriarch in her last start for Chad Brown and looks best in this spot. (1) Sweet Melania has speed and the rail and may be tough to reel in. (2) Wakanaka makes her U.S. debut and is very good hands with Mott. (8) Summer in Saratoga comes off a Fair Grounds stakes win and should be a contender.

th race – The Fred Hooper Stakes, G3- (8) Speaker’s Corner has a big-time reputation and finally seems ready to live up to it. (4) Officiating won nicely at seven furlongs in a stakes and should welcome the added ground. (1) Fearless could get quite brave from the rail and be right there at the finish line. (9) Girolamo’s Attack had a rough trip in a Claiming Crown stakes but beat Fearless prior to that.

th race – The Pegasus World Cup Turf, G1 - (2) Atone was a wide second in a prep for this stakes and just might work out a winning trip from an inside post. (6) Colonel Liam won this race last year but has been away since June and may need a race. (8) Sacred Life is usually right there at the finish and cannot be dismissed. (12) Never Surprised has a big burst of speed but the post may be tough to overcome.

th race – The Pegasus World, G1 - (1) Knicks Go is the impending Horse of the Year after winning the Breeders’ Cup Classic. He has speed and the rail, which is a tough combo to beat in Gulfstream dirt routes, and seems on edge to end his career with back-to-back Pegasus wins. (4) Life Is Good has enough speed to make this a dazzling matchup. But can he beat Knicks Go? Chances are he’ll be second best. (3) Stilleto Boy may get a nice trip just off the leaders and could figure in the exotics. (6) Sir Winston gets back on dirt and would welcome a brutal pace duel between the favorites.
