2nd race – (8) Nepotism (C) dropped from 4-1 to 5-2 then chased in third throughout against MSW rivals. Should be able to handle claimers here. (10) Brown Delivers should appreciate running on dirt and adding Prat. (3) Tricolour could be a threat at this level. (1) Make Way faces claimers for the first time and will be a serious threat. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-8-10.

4th race – (4) Ride the Plan was second in her first two starts and seems ready to graduate from the maiden ranks. (5) Aaliyah Ezri is worth a look in her comeback race. (3) Steal My Sunshine has speed and could be tough to catch. (9) Charging Lady is a Pletcher firster who merits attention. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-5-9. Doubles: 3-4-5-9 with 4-6-7-12.

5th race – (12) Varatti was an impressive debut winner in September and seems poised for another big try here. (4) Buckingham Prince can be a threat on his best try. (6) Overbore has enough speed to be a factor throughout. (7) Underhill’s Tab might perk up in this spot. Betting strategy: 12 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-6-7-12.

7th race – (4) Stage Raider disappointed in his 2022 but the half-brother to Justify seems capable of a much better try here where he broke his maiden by more than 10 lengths. (3) Portos should be a stretch threat in this field. (9) Winter Pool usually brings home a check and merits respect here. (2) Who’s the Star might shine against this bunch. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-4-9. Doubles: 2-3-4-9 with 3-4-7-8.

8th race – (4) Dream Music comes off an Amoss claim and seems to have found a winning spot. (3) Thefabulous Moolah could be formidable on the main track. (8) Santa Elena returns from a layoff seeking a fourth straight win and should not be ignored. (7) Mercy Warren looked good in a maiden win and can be a contender here.  Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-7-8.
