3rd race – (6) Alfie Solomons returns from a year layoff but is working nicely for Ward and merits top billing here. (2) Feast could devour this field off the class drop. (5) Incitatus chases a third straight win but will switch over to dirt. (4) Windy City Red steps up and merits consideration. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5-6.

5th race – (8) Runpat was second in his last two starts and seems overdue to graduate here. (1) Nabokov is drilling sharply for his debut and merits consideration. (6) Ratification should be a stretch threat. (2) He’s a Keeper is worth a look in his debut. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-6-8. Doubles: 1-2-6-8 with 1-5-6-11.

6th race – (11) Oakhurst returns to turf after a win on Tapeta and deserves top billing in this field. (5) Renaissance could be dangerous in her U.S. debut. (6) Lolloping flopped in a stakes but fits better here. (1) I Got a Gal will be a force from the rail. Betting strategy: 11 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-5-6-11.

8th race – (7) Fluffy Socks was a highly consistent Grade 2 winner and can start her 2022 campaign with a win here. (2) Temple City Terror has a nice late kick and should be a factor in the final furlong. (5) Norma Jean B. ships in from the West Coast seeking a third straight win and should not be ignored here. (6) Curly Ruth fits in nicely in this field. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-6-7.  Doubles: 2-5-6-7 with 2-7-8-9.

9th race – (2) Cape Trafalgar (B) was a game second in his debut and should prove best here. (8) Brigadier General was a good second in his first try at this distance and looks like the one to fear. (7) Classic Mark has enough speed to be a factor here. (9) Versatile might welcome a return to dirt. .  Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-7-8-9.
