1st race – (6) Savoy returns to dirt and drops to a level where he should prove best. (2) Picasso should be more competitive against claimers. (5) American Smooth fits in nicely here and should be considered. (4) Midnight J J has speed and may hang around until the end. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-6. Exactas: 2-6 over 4-5 and 4-5 over 2-6.

4th race – (8) Magic Tap debuts for Asmussen and deserves top billing here. (6) Talkin Pharoah should turn in a solid effort for Ward. (3) Abinadi could be a threat from the rail. (4) Simply Super turned in a quick gate work for this. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-4-6-8. Doubles: 3-4-6-8 with 1-2-8-11.

5th race – (2) Youens missed by a neck last time and should prove best here. (1) Golden Voice returns to turf and will benefit from a rail trip. (8) Dreamful looks like the one to catch. (11) Mymatemarmite should be well-suited by turf. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-8-11.

7th race – (6) T D Dance has a nice late kick and should work out a winning trip here. (8) Invader has plenty of speed and could be tough to catch. (3) Glynn County should welcome the cutback to this distance. (1) Like the King could rule this group on his best try. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-6-8. Doubles: 1-3-6-8 with 1-5-8-9.

8th race – (5) Fully Connected drops in class off a claim and may have found a group he can handle. (1) Bruce On the Loose is worth a close look in his debut. (9) Lunar Rocket might blast off on dirt. (8) Art Heist cannot be ignored while trying a claimer for the first time. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-5-8-9.
