3rd race – (2) Locally Owned (B) was hurt by a wide trip last time and should work out a much better trip in this spot. (5) Mi Tres Por Ciento ships in from Gulfstream Park and seems ready for a big effort. (4) Fort Peck moves up off a win and merits attention. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5.

5th race - (2) Microcap moves from turf to dirt and should appreciate the switch. (3) Harbor Sunset weakened late in his March debut. Has been away since then but should be effective in a claimer. (6) America’s Girl is working nicely for her career debut. (5) Treaty of Paris took a step forward in a claimer and could be hard to catch. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-5-6. Doubles: 2-3-5-6 with 2-4-5-7.

6th race – (4) Extra Effort seems ready for a sharp effort while switching from turf to dirt. (6) Offspring could be tough on the front end in this spot. (2) Beautiful Trauma won by a mile last time but hasn’t raced since December. (5) Smooth With a Kick usually brings home a check and can’t be ignored. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-5-6.

8th race – (5) Mentality didn’t fire in a graded stakes but fits well here. (9) A Bit of Both might perk up on turf. (6) Dixieincandyland will appreciate firm turf and is worth a long look. (3) Jo Jo Air returns quickly and should be a main threat. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-5-6-9. Doubles: 3-5-6-9 with 1-4-6-11.

9th race – (4) Hard Asset has put in some solid works for his debut and looks like the one to catch. (1) Dr. Duke is another firster who is working smartly for his debut. (11) Sound Money should not be overlooked in this spot. (6) Hold Tight rounds out the firsters who could dominate this race. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-6-11.
