1st race – (3) Bees and Honey was third then second in her first two starts and should prevail in a claimer. (2) Benedictinesisters returns to a claimer and may answer her backers’ prayers. (6) Code Name Lise switches to dirt and turned in a sharp work over the track. Betting strategy: 9 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-6. Doubles: 2-3-6 with 2-3-6-10.

2nd race – (10) Conglomerate was second after a year layoff and should move forward here. (2) February Son was second in three of his last four starts and should be in the exacta once again. (6) Warbird might be a threat in the final furlong. (3) Win Worthy can work out a good trip here. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-6-10.

4th race – (7) Honor Hop (C) was bet down from 5-2 to 9-5 and drew clear to post a decisive win. Looks best here as well. (1) Stand Tall should be well suited by the marathon distance. Runs in an entry with First Course. (2) Undisturbed has speed and could be tough to catch from the rail. (6) Cat’s Pajamas has some late kick and will be a contender here. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-6-7.

7th race – (1) Kinetic Sky should bounce back from loss in a graded stakes and seems due for a big effort here. Gets an able entrymate in Upstriker. (3) Shadow Matter also flopped in a stakes but is working fast for this start. (5) Swiftsure has been absent since April after a loss in a stakes graded stakes but seems poised for a good effort. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-5. Doubles: 1-3-5 with 1-3-6-12.

8th race – The J P Morgan Chase Jessamine Stakes - (3) Turnerloose (A) was an impressive winner of a Kentucky Downs stakes and can remain undefeated here. (6) Bhoma has the kind of pedigree that indicates she should like two turns on turf. (12) Dressed has a rough post but won nicely last time. (1) Kneesnhips might last for a share from the rail. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-6-12.
