2nd race – (7) Doozy Batz (C) dropped from 6-5 to 4-5 but settled for third. Drops in class and should prove best here. (2) Sweet Valeria may benefit from switching to a veteran rider. (4) Verdandi has some speed and could be tough to catch. (6) Domitia Lucilla may fire with a turnback to a sprint. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-6-7.

5th race – (1) National Security gives dirt a try and seems to have the right pedigree for it. (9) Ministerial comes off a maiden win and fits well here. (2) Miacomet could take a step forward in his second try after a layoff. (3) Cousin Larry should be a stretch threat. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3-9.

7th race – (8) Extra Anejo has been working quickly for his debut and can score at first asking for Asmussen. (10) Freezing Point was third after a troubled start and can make amends here. (9) Summonyourcourage was second in last two starts and belongs in the exotics. (1) Sacred Ground should respond to a turf to dirt switch. Betting strategy: 8 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-8-9-10. Doubles: 1-8-9-10  with 2-3-6. Pick 3: 1-8-9-10  with 2-3-6 with 1-5-10-11.

8th race – (6) Static Fire should make a smooth transition from turf to dirt and handle this field. (3) Promises to Dance could be tough to catch in a small field. (2) Roses for Debra is worth a look in her dirt debut. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-6. Doubles: 2-3-6 with 1-5-10-11.

9th race – (10) Blissful had a tough trip last time and can rebound with a big effort here. (5) Fuente Ovejuna ships in from California and merits some attention. (1) Fast as Flight will be dangerous from the rail. (11) Intrigue beat maidens last time and fits in with this group. Betting strategy: 10 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-5-10-11.
