2nd race – (4) Funnybet (C) dropped from 5-2 to 9-5 and then rallied three-wide while finishing second best. Seems ready for a maiden win here. (2) Speightful Charge returns to dirt while facing claimers and should be a threat. (1) Thomasville could perk up back on the main track. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4.

5th race – (12) Great Island (C) took a ton of late money in dropping from even money to 1-2 and posted a sharp win. Should be formidable here if she can overcome the post. (4) More Good Times should benefit from a shorter distance. (9) More Than Usual won narrowly last time and will be a main factor. (1) Woodfin should work out a good trip from the rail. Betting strategy: 12 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-9-12.

7th race – (7) Bel Fiore (B) closed nicely for third on a speed favoring track. Should enjoy a better trip here. (11) Thinking may take a step forward in her second start. (5) Willful Women seems ready for a good effort in her debut. (2) Hippie Cowgirl may appreciate the switch from synthetics to dirt. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-7-11. Doubles: 2-5-7-11 with 2-7-10-11. Pick 3: 2-5-7-11 with 2-7-10-11 with 2-3-5-6.

8th race – (11) Apreciado (C) was bet down from 3-1 to 9-5 and settled for second in a tough Kentucky Downs starter race. He should be dangerous in this spot despite the post. (2) Dontblamerocket exits a Grade 1 stakes and should be the one to fear. (10) Temple figures to be a main threat in the final furlong. (7) Corelli should rebound here after failing to fire in a Grade 1 stakes. Betting strategy: 11 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-7-10-11. Doubles: 2-7-10-11 with 2-3-5-6.

9th race – (6) Reagan’s Edge comes off a pair of seconds to the very tough Frank’s Rockette and should be able to stalk a fast pace and prevail here. (3) Secondary Market will welcome the added distance and will be a main player. (5) Venetian Harbor has a ton of speed and may prove tough to catch. (2) Four Graces has won four of six starts and should have a big say on the outcome. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-5-6.
