2nd race – (2) Cousin Larry has been a perfect stranger to the winner’s circle lately, but seems nicely spotted to prevail for the first time since the 2020 fall meet at Keeneland. (1) Tiz Rye Time was a competitive fourth in his last two starts and should be a threat here. (3) Beachwalker may perk up in this spot. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-3.

4th race – (7) Cheeky Chaps was a good third last time at Kentucky Downs and should prove best here. (1) Thing may work out a nice trip from the rail. (4) Rockstar Ro returns to turf and may perk up. (3) Super Design should be a factor in his first try against winners. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-4-7. Doubles: 1-3-4-7 with 2-3-7-9.

5th race – (7) Mask Patrol is working sharply for his debut and gets the nod here. (2) Fan the Fire didn’t fire in a turf stakes but will be the main threat today. (3) Improbable Journey may get a nice trip in his debut. (9) Mumayaz may take home a share of the purse. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-7-9.

7th race – (2) Movie Moxy showed some speed before tiring last time but may hang on today. (1) Tipsy Gal put in a sharp work for this and will be a main contender. (5) Thinking exits a big win at Laurel and should be in the picture. (6) Powder River may improve in her second start off the layoff. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2. Exactas: 1-2 over 5-6 and 5-6 over 1-2. Doubles: 1-2-5-6 with 1-3-4-8.

8th race – (1) Already Charming  (B) had a miserable time at the starting gate before her last race and never fired. She deserves a second chance here. (3) Hal’s Dream seems ready for a good showing in her debut. (8) Cold Call is training smartly for her career debut. (4) Gimme Mo Baby rallied belatedly in her debut and merits a close look here. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-4-8.
