2nd race – (6) Top Gun Girl missed by a neck in her debut while turning in a strong effort and should make amends here. (1) Inbound has flopped on dirt but may like turf. Has a MTO entrymate in Overlander. (9) Omaha Red should be able to make a smooth transition to turf. (10) Atras has some speed and may last for a share. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-6-9-10.

4th race – (3) Emilia’s Moon was a good third last time out at Saratoga and seems best in this spot. (6) Beach Flower may blossom on dirt. (2) Fire Coral disappointed last time but can rebound here. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-6. Doubles: 2-3-6 with 1-5-7-8.

5th race – (5) Caveat Emptor (A) was a lopsided maiden winner at Kentucky Downs and can make it two in a row here. (7) War Machine turned in a strong effort at Del Mar and should be the main rival. (1) Leblon returns to turf and might be a contender from the rail. (8) Private Island will be a threat on his best try. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-5-7-8.

7th race – The Perryville Stakes - (1) Soup and Sandwich has not raced since the Kentucky Derby but is working sharply and seems ready for a big effort. (6) Pipeline won in fast time and looms as the one to fear. (4) He’smyhoneybadger got away poorly and rallied nicely for second. Should be a threat in the final furlong. (9) Runway Magic drew clear last time and seems poised for another strong try. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-6-9.

9th race – The Lexus Raven Run - (13) Obligatory cuts back to a sprint and should be poised for a big effort from the outside post. (7) Cilla was a game winner at Saratoga and seems on edge for another big try. (8) Caramel Swirl can bounce back after a weak try. (3) Souper Sensational was second to Cilla and should be in the picture once again. Betting strategy: 13 to win, place. Exacta box: 3-7-8-13.
