1st race – (5) Old Town Road has won both of his career starts and can make it a hat trick here. (2) King of Truth exits a big maiden win and may complete an all-Ward exacta. (1) Vidal figures to be a factor off a nice maiden win in a claimer. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-5.

3rd race – (5) Enforcer tired after making a middle move in his debut and is worth a second chance here. (2) Living Water is a firster from Ward who merits a long look. (9) Kiss Away was a good third on turf and may like dirt. (1) Dealmeinbud has speed and will be helped by an inside trip. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-5-9.

5th race – (5) Into the Sunrise (D) was bet down from even money to 3-5 then tired in the stretch to finish fifth. Returns quickly and may hang on here. (1) Competitive Saint was a game winner of his last start and could be the main threat. (4) Quick Tempo exits stakes company and will appreciate the class relief. (7) Exprompt should be a threat in the final stages. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-5-7.

7th race – The Rood and Riddle Dowager Stakes - (5) Lucky Money has turned in a string off solid stakes tries and seems to have found a field she can handle. (4) La Luner just missed in her U.S. debut and looms the main rival. (1) English Affair may perk up with a big effort here. (9) Key Biscayne is training nicely and should be competitive here. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-4-5-9. Doubles: 1-4-5-9 with 2-5-6.

8th race – (2) Thomas Shelby was an easy winner at Saratoga and can handle these if he duplicates that performance. (5) Highest Honor disappointed in the mud but can rebound here. (6) Warrior’s Charge has plenty of back class and cannot be ignored. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-6.
