2nd race – (1) Super Design has enough speed to control this race from the rail. (6) Camp David make a smooth switch to the main track. (5) Carmichael fits in nicely with this group. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-5-6. Doubles: 1-5-6 with 4-5-6-7.

3rd race – (5) Reed Kan drops a notch in class and should prove best. (6) Gray Attempt could wake up while moving to dirt. (4) California Street exits a stakes and fits better here. (7) Trappe Valley should be a threat in the stretch. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 4-5-6-7.

5th race – (10) Gal Wonder ships in from Woodbine and should prove best in this field. (6) Sister Nell didn’t fire at Kentucky Downs off a layoff but should be more of a factor today. (9) Fantail has some speed and will be a main threat here off the Romans claim. (11) Bravo Kitten missed by a neck last time and cannot be overlooked. Betting strategy: 10 to win, place. Exacta box: 6-9-10-11. Doubles: 6-9-10-11 with 1-2-7-9.

6th race – (9) Rarify was second in her last two tries and seems poised to graduate here. (1) Master Som tired in her debut but can take a step forward here. (7) Malibu Toast missed by a head in her debut and merits plenty of attention. (2) Watch This Birdie moves to dirt and is worth a look. Betting strategy: 9 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-7-9.

8th race – (5) Personal Best (B) was an easy winner at Kentucky Downs and can make it two wins in a row. (1) Elle Est Forte was second in three of her last four starts and can complete the exacta once again. (3) Insatiable should be a top contender in her debut for Pletcher. (6) My Sweet Story should be better suited by this distance. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-5-6.
