1st race – (1) Money Mike disappointed in his first start at Santa Anita, but is training sharply for his comeback race with a new trainer. (6) Engrave may wake up while switching back to dirt. (3) Injunction was second last time and merits respect here. Betting strategy: 1 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-6.

3rd race – (4) Guana Cay is training sharply for her first start since June and looks best here. (8) Holdontoyourtiara seems to fit in nicely with this bunch. (2) Flashy Biz should handle dirt better after flopping on turf. (9) Bertrada is worth a look off the claim by Foley. Betting strategy: 4 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-4-8-9.

5th race – (3) Flat Awesome Jenny has notched four straight wins and can make it five here. (1) Sterling Miss didn’t fire against tougher company but can wake up here. (4) Canadian Ginger might be hard to catch in this spot. (9) Frills won easily at Saratoga and cannot be overlooked. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-4-9.

7th race – (3) Kiss the Sky was a good second in a stakes and deserves top billing here. (1) Dowagiac Chief shapes up as the one to fear from the rail. (6) Vivar showed some promise in a nice maiden win. (4) Be Like Clint may take a step forward on turf. Betting strategy: 3 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-4-6.

9th race – The Valley View Stakes - (2) Saranya (B) was hurt by a wide trip at Kentucky Downs and figures to thrive at the longer distance here. (4) Tobys Heart beat the top choice last time and should be the one to fear. (8) Breaker of Chains won her U.S. debut and should not be ignored. (3) Crazy Beautiful might benefit from a dirt-to-turf switch. Betting strategy: 2 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-4-8.
